Mount Robson BC
"Mount Robson BC" is an odd term, so let's clarify it.
Mount Robson Provincial Park is the second oldest in British Columbia's park system. It enshrines Mount Robson, the Canadian Rockies' highest peak.
We will, however, continue using the term "Mount Robson BC" in case, for whatever reason, you searched those specific words. But remember you're unlikely to encounter that phrase elsewhere. You'll see it as simply "Mount Robson."
Mount Robson BC is part of a vast protected area that includes Mount Robson Provincial Park, Jasper National Park, Banff National Park, Hamber Provincial Park, Kootenay National Park, Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, and Yoho National Park. As a group, these parks are of such global significance that in 1990 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared it the Rocky Mountains World Heritage Site.
While not so striking as Mount Robson BC itself, a vital aspect of the wilderness park surrounding it is the ecological protection it affords the headwaters and first 100 km (62 mi) of the Fraser River. From its source as an icy trickle near Mount Robson BC, the 1,378-km (856-mi) Fraser is the province's most important river and the largest salmon-producing river in the world.
